Re: 6WC 6 Week Challenge- Nov 2020

I have a very nebulous sense of time myself, always have, so basically, with the 6WC, if I forget to watch the clock properly, I just go with what I know it usually takes me to do that task or a similar task. Also, like you, I know myself well enough to know how long I can sit down and do a thing before I need to switch and do something else.

However I admit I tend to estimate down when I have to estimate the time I spend on something because, again, my sense of time is so nebulous. Like with reading, doing textbook work or writing in one of my language journal, 2 hours can pass and it'll feel like 30-40 minutes to me. But what helps me there is I usually study at specific times of the day because of the other things I need to do throughout the day. So having those smaller blocks on time where I habitually study helps me measure the amount of time I do study even when I forget to consciously note the exact time I started and stopped. It's rare for me to just have a day where I can just get lost in studying for more than 3 hours tops, unless it very late at night and everyone else in the house is fast asleep, so I usually can guess how much time I studied just based on the limitations of my daily schedule.

Re. Can I still sign up
Answer: Yes and welcome!

Re. Time? What time?
Experience: I switched from recording on the phone or laptop to recording on a piece of paper that I carry around with me. And I write both the FROM and TO times
15:20 - 15:35
so that even when I forget to record something, I know what time I last recorded something, so I don’t overestimate the current session.
It’s still the hardest part of a 6WC though

Oops, fail! I thought I had posted here to officially withdraw when my neuro relapse began, but apparently my brain also malfunctioned on the step involving the "Submit" button.

Congrats! to PM, great work! to everyone else, and I had fun while it lasted!

We don't have a 6 Week Challenge thread for February yet.

I was thinking, since we don't really have that many posts on these threads, although a bunch of us do sign up each time, wouldn't it make sense to make 1 thread--i.e. 2021 6 Week Challenges--list the start and stop dates for all the challenges in the first post and then people could use the same thread all year since we most just post that we're signing up.

Make sense?
