Prompt for Tuesday, September 1, 2015

Postby arthaey » Thu Sep 03, 2015 2:46 pm

Sorry for the disruption, folks! It turns out that my parents arriving in a foreign country to visit me is very time-consuming at the beginning. ;) They have most of their stuff straightened out now, so I should be back to providing our daily prompts, um, promptly. :)

Today's prompt:

“Never regret. If it’s good, it’s wonderful. If it’s bad, it’s experience.” —Eleanor Hibbert

Prompt for Friday, September 4, 2015

Postby arthaey » Fri Sep 04, 2015 2:16 pm

Fiction Friday! Once a week, I'm going to post a prompt meant for writing something fictional, be that flash fiction or a short story. Of course, you can always use the prompt for non-fiction, if writing stories really isn't your thing. Today's prompt:

You are elected the mayor of a town you are visiting, but you don't know the language spoken there.

Hey arthaey!
I'm glad you're back and I hope you're having fun with your family.

I just wanted to thank you for continuing to post these daily prompts. I have fallen behind but I fully intend to catch up soon. :)

Okay, my story is really silly and there are probably a lot of mistakes in it, but it made really fun. Here it is!

You are doing a wonderful job here Arthaey. I am going through busy days but when I get things organized again I am going to try the same daily prompt in a few of my languages and compare, this is going to be interesting! No more boring paragraphs about my situation at language learning.

Here are my written replies to the prompts from the 2nd, 3rd and 5th September. The story for the 4th is under construction as it is going to be a lot longer than I thought. I'll let you all know when it's finished. :D

I'm having a good time with my parents visiting, don't get me wrong... But I will also enjoy having more language-learning time when the visit is over! :P I'm jealous of your entries. ;)
