Updating my registration to include:

Language: Mandarin
Challenge: Full, Film only
Current level: Beginner
Comments: After binge watching a half challenge in 2 weeks, I'm curious to see how far I can go here. Can't read yet, so I can't do the book challenge, but may need to update this to a double, if I keep at the current pace. And don't run out of interesting Chinese Dramas.

Language: French
Challenge: full
Current level: rusty B2
Comments: I need a little motivation. The films should be easy enough, although I don’t watch much tv these days, but worse, I’m rarely reading paper books. I almost signed up for a double challenge so I would read more but I won’t have time for the films

Language: Arabic
Challenge: half
Current level: beginner
Comments: Not sure about doing this as a beginner though there are enough provisions in the rules that it seems worth a try. I think I need to find a dual language book with an audio recording. There must be something like that I can work through.

Language: Italian
Challenge: half
Current level: A0
Comments: I just started learning Italian on the 26th of September, because I've got a short trip to Naples planned for next March. Initially I just wanted to learn basic tourist Italian, but I should have known myself better. Once I got started I got greedy and decided to study it properly for the next 6 months. Soooo... time to start recording my listening/watching and maybe reading for the Super Challenge. Honestly, I ought to complete the film half challenge by that time, but I don't expect to get anywhere close with the reading.

I never officially registered, but I decided to calculate my progress just for fun. I expected to be way ahead, but instead I'm actually behind, despite massive time and effort spent reading every night.
