Hello everyone! Glad to be here!

Language: Greek
Challenge: Full
Current Level: Around A1, currently my main language!
Comments: Greek is currently my main language, I currently use quite a number of different resources to learn it (Textbook, Anki, iTalki etc) and I’m looking forward to some input doing some of my favorite things! Reading (currently reading the first Harry Potter book) and watching videos/films!

Language: Slovak
Challenge: Full
Current Level: Beginner
Comments: I am really looking forward to moving past this beginner stage in Slovak as well! I’ve always flirted with a Slavic language and decided on Slovak! I’ve been using Memrise, a textbook, and Anki as well! This one is going to be tougher to complete but any progress is better than none!

Language: Spanish
Challenge: Half
Currently Level: B2
Comments: I just want to keep getting better with my Spanish, I speak it everyday so I’m constantly learning and improving! Would like to add in some consumption of native media/literature as well!

Language: Korean
Challenge: half
Current level: A0
Comments, links: I am an idiot for signing up for this. I have many books but it takes me 10 minutes to read a sentence. But, this is what got me to intermediate levels in French and Italian so....

As part of the challenge I am limiting myself to only using actual books and films (for Japanese only, but I will try with French). I think it will be more fun that way!

Language: Japanese
Challenge: Full
Current Level: B1+
Comments, Links: I finished reading my first Japanese novel this year, and I want to push myself to read even more. I also haven't really explored the world of Japanese cinema so I am looking forward to it.

Language: French
Challenge: Half
Current Level: A1
Comments, Links: French is a "new" language for me. I studied it in high school years ago, but that only helped me learn grammar. It's going to be hard to balance with Japanese, but I want to make French a part of my life, and I hope the challenge can help with that.

 I am tracking my progress for both languages using a Google Sheet, which you can find here.

Hiya everyone! I found this forum (and challenge!) through a Reddit post and I'm excited to give it a go :)

Language: Welsh
Challenge: half
Current level: it's hard to say - I'd say my reading's probably at around a C1 level but all my other skills are fairly weak, averaging out at around B1 X)
Comments: I already enjoy reading books in Welsh so I'm not worried about that half of the challenge, but my listening skills need a huge boost and I'm hoping this will encourage me to actually try working on them for once!

Language: Polish
Challenge: full
Current level: somewhere between A1 and A2
Comments: I've been attempting to learn Polish since about 2015 but I spent years doing the absolute basics, losing confidence, and then quitting. Only these past 6 months or so have I been able to actually stick with it so I'm hoping to finally make some progress!

Language: Korean

Language: Japanese
Challenge: full
Current level: B2ish maybe
Comments, links: I have been learning on and off for a few years but only making slow progress, I want to give my language skills a much needed boost.

Language: German
Challenge: Full
Current level: B2

Comments: I wish there could also be a writing component incorporated into the challenge. I believe 2 years is a long time for immersion so a kind of production activity should be added as well. Esp writing. For example, 20, or 30, 000 words . Something like this. Just a thought. For the listening component of the challenge, I will be mainly using podcasts, youtube videos and radio broadcast.

I will use an old fashioned notoebook for recording hours for listening and pages for reading. If time permits during the course of the challenge I will share the screenshot of my progress.

I participated in the last challenge so thoroughly enjoyed it. Allowed me to be disciplined to an extent.
