6WC 6 Week Challenge - 2024

The 6 Week Challenge, first launched in 2011, is a challenge to upgrade your language skills in one language from beginner to something more worthwhile, and to see if you can find more time to study languages when competing with other participants in a global highscore. 6 Week Challenges start on February 1st, May 1st, August 1st and November 1st every year, so there is a rough 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off pattern. Note that you can only do the 6 Week Challenge with a language in which you're a beginner or lower-intermediate at most. This allows for a more just comparison between participants.

I signed up to kickstart my goal of completing Assimil Hindi and Assimil German by the time the next Super Challenge starts. I guess my languages live by the rhythm of challenges! My focus language is Hindi.

The header says it ends Wednesday, March 14th. Today is Thursday, March 14th. So did it end yesterday on the 13th?

I think it should have ended yesterday, otherwise it would be 6 weeks and 1 day.

That being said, the bot used to still take submissions for a day or two because people often post in retrospect. I would guess the website is still taking submissions, but I think they should only be for work done yesterday and before.

The May challenge starts soon (yay!), the same day the Super Challenge kicks off (yay!), so I am definitely planning to sign up for this one. I'm not 100% sure which language to make my main language, probably Hindi.
