--
The E-USA Promotion Committee has created a Special Interest Group within E-USA for online Chess Players https://ttt.esperanto-usa.org/groups/sp ... _groups/en . The intention is to speak Esperanto while playing chess. Some chess vocabulary is included below.
Tuesday 1/28 at 6pm Pacific Time (7pm Mountain Time, 8pm Central Time, 9pm Eastern Time)
We meet on Zoom and play individual games in breakout rooms, using Lichess ("LIve CHESS" pronounced Lee-chess) - https://lichess.org/ - a free online chess program that has an Esperanto language option. Please register with Lichess before joining us, if possible.
Come and join us as we play chess. You may be surprised who you could meet!
Esperantists are encouraged to invite their non-Esperanto-speaking friends to join us as well!
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84852176013?p ... xlcWlzUT09
Kunvena ID: 848 5217 6013
Paskodo: 807546
The Promotion Committee feels that this is a good way to not only promote better community among E-USA members, but also to promote Esperanto to the non-Esperanto community as well. Chess is a world-wide game, played by people from many different countries who speak many different languages. Esperanto is ideal for use in such a situation!
Amike,
Charles Germany
Promotion Committee

Ŝakludo Chess
Ŝaktabulo Chessboard
Ŝakpeco Chess piece
Ŝak! Check!
Mato Checkmate
Pato Stalemate
Aroko Castling
Pasante En passant
