Consider expression: lo habrás hecho

Without knowing the remaining parts of the sentence , I interpret the expression to mean: you must (or) should (or) could have done it.

Am I correct?

Es necesario usar español en esta parte del foro, aún si estás haciendo una pregunta. Permíteme ser la primera persona que te diga esto. ¿Puedes editar tu mensaje para que sea en español?

En cuanto a tu pregunta: en inglés la frase quiere decir "you will have done it". Es cómo la entiendo. Quizá responderá otra persona más entendida que yo en el español.

Imagínate la siguiente situación: Doc diciéndole a Marty McFly que acelere el vehículo para que pueda viajar en el tiempo. Y Marty replica "¿pero cómo viajaré en el tiempo si colisiono con esa pared?" y Doc le responde "antes de colisionar ya lo habrás hecho." O sea, antes de que el vehículo colisione ya habrá viajado en el tiempo.

EN dialog:
- You hit the gas, kid.
- How come I'm gonna travel in time if I hit the wall?
- You won't hit the wall though, you will travel in time. Right before hit the wall you will have done it. (Travel in time, of course. In other words, travel in time on time.)

The Spanish future perfect

"...is used to talk about something that will have been completed at a certain point in the future. It can also indicate probability, or what might have or could have happened."

In questions it may also express wonder or incredulity.

Translations: must have, will have, has probably...,l wonder whether...

Note that habría.. (conditional perfect) is used used to express suppositions about the past and rumors or doubt about a fact or an event.

Gregorius habria nacido en Glasgow Gregorius was apparently born in Glasgow.

Tr: appears to have been...., was apparently etc.

El futuro perfecto lo usas en dos ocasiones:

- Para hablar de una acción que en cierto momento del futuro estará terminada.

Debes hacer una tarea. Tienes tiempo suficiente. Para mañana ya la habrás hecho ( you will have already done it by tomorrow)

- Para hacer especulaciones y suposiciones acerca de situaciones que ya sucedieron.

- ¿Por qué Juan está triste?
- Dijo que iba a renunciar. ¿Lo habrá hecho? (I suppose that could be a reason)
