Modifying my method
So far I have been practising/consolidating etc via bi-directional translation (1)
recreated/memorized little stories, often hotel reviews, with the help of key words from the text(while on a swingstepper and pulling rubber bands hanging from above) (2)
I have tried drawing a story. This works well if the stories are linear and contain scenes that can be visualized easily (3)
I am now adding "consecutive translation": I record my German translation of a text, listen to it and try to translate it back into Spanish IN A LOUD VOICE , at the beginning with an eye on the Spanish text. I control the speed and length with a remote. (4)

(5) I am now also using another method for maintaining texts that at some point I could remember a hundred per cent, since remembering a text a hundred per cent does not necessarily mean that the pieces are available immediately in new combinations and contexts. I am dividing the texts up in meaningful chunks and start repetition at a random point and try to get back and forth in the text in my memory.
It can look like this: only one chunk is visible at a time.
1 Decidimos viajar a Gijón
2 con muy poco tiempo de antelación,
3 por lo que nos encontramos con
4 una alta ocupación en los hoteles y
5 unos precios algo elevados.
6 Como íbamos a pasar (tan) solo una noche,
7 nos valía con un hotel que
8 cumpliera su función,
9 por ello reservamos aquí.
