learn to conjugate Spanish verbs in all tenses and all patterns (regular and irregular) in eight months with minimal daily study.

I've read through the site and it seems like I'd have to study the prompts separately ahead of time before starting to use the deck.

That makes sense and I think it's worth it. With Spanish verb conjugation you have to learn both the "when do I use it?", and "how do I do it?"

Based on reading the manual, there are is the visual cue the deck-author gave to each of the tenses as well as the Spanish prompt to help us get used to the time or mode.

I'm visiting my brother and Anki is on my home computer so I haven't downloaded the deck yet, but I intend to. From reading the manual/guide, I'm thinking he used the same prompt for all modes/times. If that's the case, there's only a few contextual phrases to learn and the obstacle will be a lot easier to clear than you may have thought.

Yes I've read over the manual on the deck creator's website and the cues are not as difficult as I thought. But now comes the question if I should do the full deck or omit learning "vos" forms (as he made a separate deck; plus a filtering option).

Have you run across "vos" much? If not, you could filter it.

I think there are only a couple of tenses where vos is different from tú. I've heard vos from a fellow from South America (Guatamala, if I recall correctly - but he didn't use vos all the time). Did the deck-author say it's used in movies sometimes?

Although I intend to do the whole deck, my thinking is that the first 12-25 verbs are the most useful. The benefit starts coming right away, since he's got it ordered by verb frequency. From my perspective, more important to get started than to get finished.

You can always slow your pace or suspend the vos cards if they don't seem useful. Anki lets you unsuspend cards, so your decision can be changed if you later find yourself noticing vos used a lot. Even if you're not finished with the deck, unsuspending the vos cards will bring in those common, frequent verbs which you would find useful right away if you're hearing or reading "vos" on the regular.
