Schliemann's method of learning languages

Methode Schliemann zur Erlernung der spanischen Sprache ...
by Adolf Keller

https://ia800202.us.archive.org/27/item ... lluoft.pdf

-----------------------------------

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinrich_ ... Ollendorff

Was denken Sie von unserem Könige?

the romanisation of Spain

https://www.rtve.es/play/videos/somos-d ... a/6494778/

Sinopsis

Roman civilisation left Spain an enormous legacy that today, 1600 years later, continues to be the main foundation on which the culture, language, laws, customs and a large part of the Spanish way of life are based. The Romanisation of Hispania was a slow, military process of conquest at first, but one of assimilation and integration, which turned the Iberian Peninsula into one of the most prosperous provinces of the Roman Empire.

Una nueva versión de la evolución humana

a new version of human evolution

Jueves, 21 de abril 18:15 - 19:10 LA1 RTVE

Sinopsis

For the last hundred years, the development of modern humanity has been explained mainly through the so-called Out of Africa theory, claiming that the development of humans and apes occurred mainly in Africa. But in recent years, bone finds, much older than the earliest African finds, have challenged that belief. Remains 7.2 million years old of a prehistoric human, Graecopithecus freybergi, and human footprints 6 million years old were found in Greece and presented in 2017. In November 2019, palaeontologist Madelaine Böhme revealed to the world fossils of a newly discovered 11.6 million-year-old ancient ape found in a clay pit in southern Germany. Scientists argue that this new species called Danuvius guggenmosi, or "Udo", is a common ancestor of humans and chimpanzees, a missing link sought for decades by scientists around the world. Together, these fossil finds challenge the fundamental idea of human evolution.

Charly Sinewan is helping me get my illegal motorcycle out of El Salvador!

In this episode, I am riding with my friend Charly Sinewan, who is also in El Salvador! I asked him for help as soon as I realized my motorcycle was illegally in El Salvador (not intentionally!) and he came to help me get out of El Salvador. Even though we are both traveling around the world for a long time, we still made one mistake ...

Once upon a time I took a revolver illegally and unintentionally into Mexico. Had I been caught, my Spanish would now be a lot better than it is! ;)

The new wave of German migrants in Paraguay

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4rIlX9zFTY

DO NOT TRUST ANYBODY
How they manipulate you with "FAKE NEWS

Now more than ever, this conference by Pedro Baños makes sense, with the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, where he explains that we cannot trust anyone and that all parties are waging huge disinformation campaigns against their rivals out of a purely economic interest in undermining their competitors and benefiting from them. He speaks openly about the United States, Russia and China.
In October 2021, Colonel Pedro Baños Bajo, a specialist in geo-strategy, defence, security and intelligence, appeared before the Joint Committee on National Security to report on the study of the phenomenon of disinformation and "fake news", with disruptive effects on society.

Life

Schwanitz's parents were teaching and living in the northern Ruhr area. In the late phase of World War II his mother send him with help of the Red Cross to Switzerland to escape the bombing raids in war torn Germany. In Switzerland Schwanitz stayed for six years with Mennonite mountain farmers rather isolated from society and without attending a school. He returned to his parents in 1950 and school director who took a liking in him (seeing him as a modern "Kaspar Hauser") got him accepted directly into a gymnasium (highschool) and helped him to catch up with the curriculum. Schwanitz graduated ultimately as best of his class and went on to pursue English studies, history and philosophy at universities in Münster, London, Philadelphia and Freiburg. In 1971 he received his PhD from the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg for thesis on George Bernard Shaw. In 1978 he became a tenured professor for English studies at the University of Hamburg where he stayed until his early retirement in 1997 due to health issues.[1][2]
