Ah, I really didn’t articulate that well! My second sentence wasn’t meant to be a paraphrase of the first one - it was meant to be a separate observation. I understood “your” saying to mean it’s a combination of the kid’s fault AND someone else’s - probably the parents. Right? Maybe if I’d said, “And often it’s noones fault at all.”

If your kid bought the subscription (and nothing else), you don't really need to reissue the card :D
