I am writing to bring to your attention the Persian Language Foundation course: https://www.persianlanguageonline.com Unlike many online courses, this free resource looks comprehensive and interesting.
The course currently includes 60 lessons, each of which provides the lesson text in both Persian, transliteration, translation, and audio, with a glossary and some other relevant information.
I do not speak Persian, nor have I used the course myself, but judging from the translations, it takes you quite a long way through not only the Persian language but also the history and culture carried by it.

They also have very nice animations for learning the Arabic script, and I often find myself tempted to learn Persian because of this wonderful website.

Thanks for letting us know about this website, Pal! I'm currently in the market for a new language, and I must admit, Persian is very alluring right now...

I was poking around the Internet (shame on me), and I found a delightful and free resource for learning Dari, the Afghanistan variant of Persian: https://www.iam-afghanistan.org/lcp/
Edit: Also resources for Pashto in the Dropbox link.
