This morning my old login to glossika seems to have disappeared. glossika.com now points to ai.glossika.com, at least for me.

Therefore I was unable to reach links to the courses I purchased (and have already downloaded).

I don't know if this is a sloppy website update or a change in policy.

By looking in my browser history, I was able to get a link to my old courses by using
https://glossika.com/account/library

There also doesn't seem to be any link to buy the old courses, which were there just a couple of days ago. Hopefully they haven't gone the same place as Michael's early Youtube videos, which disappeared a few years ago (mysteriously deleted by Youtube with no backups).

I hope this is just a website issue, not a change in policy.

I can always daydream that my old courses will reappear with a bunch of superior new material, or at least that they will offer new mp3/pdf courses incorporating their new material.
edited to fix some wording.

Ah... I found the old courses; they are now called books.

Michael mentioned that they would return to publishing after some adjustment to the new system.

This actually looks good.

When you click on "books" and then your username, a link to already purchased courses appears.

I guess this is just some website weirdness.

To find old courses you've bought, go to the bottom under "Resources" and click "Download." A new page will open. Under "My account" you will find "Library" and there are all your old courses in case you need to download them again. It's not very easy to find, but they are still there.

I got charged $30. Got an e-mail yesterday or the day before though for a $12 off coupon for the next month, essentially $6 off the first three months.

That's been my experience, the old GSR/GMS systems were good for reviving or activating languages that you had studied before or were related to a similar language you spoke. The new system traps you into the GSR schedule where you advance X sentences a day and review them for 4-5 days afterwards, so if you just want to run through the system quickly you're kinda out of luck. Right now it's better for languages you want to put a lot more work into.

Let us know if you still get charged $30 next month. ;)

Well, at least that is some clear direction. I resent that fact that they are not clear about their plans.
I believe they have been intentionally unclear. However, Hanlon's razor may apply here.
I wonder if somebody else could start producing a course like the old glossika.
I don't see what the advantage is to closing this section of the website and ceasing sales, except to force people into their new system.
I know that one thing Michael wants to do is to move away from the idea that every language has to have the exact same sentences.
I would be happy enough to buy 3000 sentences with audio and an mp3... Whatever they call it.

edited to mention Hanlon's razor :D

A good portion of the example sentences in "Le Bon Usage" are from works that are in the public domain. Rhinospike advertises foreign language audio on demand.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I'll buy my Indonesian two years early this weekend. I'll have permanent access to it for the cost of two months of the new system. :)

For anybody interested in glossika's old product, it is a good discount.

Sadly for me, I've already bought everything I can afford from glossika, at full price.
