For the

Code: Select all

substudy combine episode_01_01.es.srt episode_01_01.en.srt > episode_01_01.bilingual.srt
stuff, replace all the \ and put everything on one line of the commandline. Also check that all the files you've listed except the output file exist. Also what does it say if you just run the substudy command by itself with no arguments?

Try the second command all on the same line as well.

Ok, when I do:

Code: Select all

substudy combine episode_01_01.es.srt episode_01_01.en.srt > episode_01_01.bilingual.srt

Nothing is happening. It just returns a line that says

Code: Select all

 ~/substudy $

If I drop the word substudy so it instead says

Code: Select all

 ~/substudy $ combine episode_01_01.es.srt episode_01_01.en.srt > episode_01_01.bilingual.srt
then the error comes back, "Usage: combine filel OP file2"

If I run

Code: Select all

substudy export csv episode_01_01.mkv episode_01_01.es.srt episode_01_01.en.srt
without the ">" character after mkv, then I get, "MissingFieldError("streams")"

If I run

Code: Select all

substudy export csv episode_01_01.mkv episode_01_01.es.srt episode_01_01.en.srt
without the ">" character after mkv, then I get,

Code: Select all

Invalid arguments.
Usage: substudy clean <subs>
substudy combine <foreign-subs> <native-subs>
substudy export csv <video> <foreign-subs> [<native-subs>]
substudy export review <video> <foreign-subs> [<native-subs>]
substudy export tracks <video> <foreign-subs>
substudy list tracks <video>
substudy --help
substudy --version

If I just hit enter, which is what I think you mean by running the substudy line with no command, nothing happens. If I literally type in the word "substudy" after

Code: Select all

 ~/substudy $
, then it retuns that usage chart from above.

Ok. Looks like you have it installed correctly. So think you need to talk to the author EMK on github.

OK, I think we found the problem. See here for details. Basically, substudy's error messages for missing input files are pretty useless, and I need to improve them.
