The creator of the program ''Clozemaster'' provided his frequency list for Spanish when asked on reddit (among a couple others). I figured it may be useful to others.

http://pastebin.com/3GF89XF1

Let me know if this link dies out, I have it saved.

In one of his replies he explains basically how he creates these lists.

''......The frequency lists used for most languages are primarily from https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktiona ... ency_lists like u/tomavagyok mentioned, modified in an attempt to remove names, places, garbage characters, etc........''
-Mike , /u/wakawakafoobar on reddit, creator of Clozemaster

Miguel de Cervantes
Don Quijote de la Mancha. Edicion RAE / Don Quixote de la Mancha. RAE (Real Academia Espanola) (Spanish Edition)

...un glosario formado por siete mil palabras, locuciones, frases proverbiales y refranes, explicados según el significado preciso que tienen en el texto cervantino.

Don Quijote: Legacy Edition (Cervantes & Co.) (Spanish Edition) (European Masterpieces, Cervantes & Co. Spanish Classics)

This is a Spanish edition of Don Quijote designed for English-speaking students. Both parts, Parts 1 and 2, of Don Quijote are included in this single volume. This Legacy edition is edited by Tom Lathrop. Until now, our students have had to use editions published in Spain for Spaniards. Vocabulary and syntactic structures that are difficult (or impossible) for our students are usually not annotated in those editions. Cultural information which educated Spanish speakers already know, but our students simply do not, is equally not annotated. Our students have thus been deprived of much of what they need to know in order to understand the text. To help solve the vocabulary problem, Lathrop has included 10,459 vocabulary glosses in the margin opposite the line where the Spanish word to be defined appears. If too many words need to be put in the margin, phrases are translated in footnotes. In all, there are 3,742 footnotes. These also deal with cultural items, historical, geographical, biblical, mythological, textual references, and all kinds of other information. Footnotes will not offer interpretations: that is for instructors and their students to figure out.

Don Quijote Dictionary (Spanish Edition) (Cervantes & Co.)

The Legacy Edition: This Dictionary has 7800 entries and 12,000 definitions. It lists all words that students ordinarily shouldn't be expected to know (abadejo codfish; zaquizamí garret), and some that maybe they should know but don't (padecer to suffer; raposa fox), and sometimes it gives definitions for more common words, just in case (manera way; nobleza nobility).

Selections from Don Quixote: A Dual-Language Book (Dover Dual Language Spanish)
Presented in the original Spanish, with excellent new literal English translations on facing pages, the passages have been carefully selected to capture the wonderful flavor and romance of the complete work.
