This is kind of fun. You can spin the globe and listen to radio stations all over the world. It kind of reminds me of when I was a teenager and used my shortwave to listen to radio stations in other countries, except without all the static. I've been listening all morning to radio stations in various countries and it's great. I feels like being in the country because you not only hear the music they are listening to but also news, traffic and weather reports, commercials and silly morning-show chit-chat.

Re: Radio Garden
That is a pretty cool app. When I was a teenager I listened to shortwave radio. I was a great fan of the BBC, and Radio Moscow (remember Moscow Mailbag with Joe Adamov?).

I'm not familiar with that one. I was usually looking for foreign language stuff, but with my poor language skills and all the static, I often barely knew what I was listening to. I would get very excited if I understand enough to be able to identify the topic of a news story.

That's odd. I've had trouble with some stations, but usually I can get something if I click around. I can't seem to get in that station in Argentina that I liked right now, but I clicked around on the map until I found one in Chile that was playing something I was willing to listen to.

It worked well on my computer. I've had trouble getting some of the stations on my tablet, but others worked fine, so I don't know if it was just something with the stations themselves, or if my tablet is particular about what it likes to listen to.

Re: Radio Garden
I mentioned in my log that someone at work had pointed me at a Japanese station, but that one seemed intermittent. This thread made me look again and I've found another one that seems to work: http://radio.garden/live/kobe/radicro/.
