News in some different languages

Postby Ketutar » Mon Jul 18, 2016 9:53 am

I would appreciate it enormously, if someone could move this information to its "proper" place, so that people can find it easier:

I think most people know already that the Finnish public broadcasting company YLE has news in Latin
Nuntii Latini

They have recordings of old programs on audiophile with transcription

They also have news in easy Finnish, spoken slower, for immigrants and refugees, but also for others who wish to learn Finnish
Ylen uutiset selkosuomeksi

The Swedish SVT also has easy Swedish news, but they are not as available as YLEs news. Right now they have no show available for listening, but I assume they have it every now and then, and perhaps they'll get better.
"News throughout the week in three versions: simple Swedish, spoken Arabic and subtitled in English. This News program is for anyone who is not fluent in Swedish to allow him/her to be updated with the most important events and news."

Also, I am in Sweden, so I don't know if that is available for people in other countries.
They do show Ođđasat (news in Sámi), Uutiset (news in Finnish) and Nyhetstecken (news in Swedish sign language) available world wide. Might be something to look at, if one is interested.
