You're not a C1 (or B1 or whatever) if you haven't tested.

I found some free audio books (mostly short clips) here:
http://www.progettobabele.it/AUDIOFILES/audiolibri.php
These are read by natives and are free. You can read and listen.

Re: Italian resources
Thank you so much, especially for the podcasts. As for me, I can recommed an Italian language school in Sanremo, for those who prefer learning languages by visiting countries directly.

Re: Italian resources
I was looking up Italian graded readers, and I found this article. Half of it is basically a FluentU ad, but the other half of it actually has links to Italian reading resources that look good! They are:
ToLearnFree - beginner reading exercises with activities
Saber Italiano - short articles and stories with comprehension quizzes
Parallel Texts - parallel texts of quite a number of books
Logos Library - Italian poems, stories, and articles, some of them with audio
Italy Magazine - articles about Italy; this link goes to the search for dual-language articles, which can be read in both English and Italian

Re: Italian resources
This guy discusses economics as it relates to Italy and the EU. He speaks a bit quickly and his enunciation sometimes falls short of a professional actor's, but if you want to learn about miniBOTs (some kind of proposed short-term Italian government debt instrument which I never heard of until yesterday, the purpose of which I still don't fully understand) he's your guy.
