Thanks for creating this Reineke. I was planning to do it myself but never got around to it. Some additions:

For pronunciation of Thai words;
http://forvo.com/languages/th/

http://fasttrackthai.com/

http://letstalkthai.com/

http://pickup-thai.com/

Thai cooking videos (this site can be slow at times so the videos can also be found on youtube)
http://www.foodtravel.tv/

This dictionary often splits Thai phrases into words:

I saw Bakunin's work buried somewhere and remembered it. I thought it's a shame to leave it there and I added a few links. If everyone would donate 10 minutes of their time we could have an enviable list of language resources here.

Bakunin has moved all his thai recordings as well as his new thai resources over to http://www.aakanee.com

Another one I didn't see is http://www.retire2thailand.com/retire2-language.php which has some advanced focussed resources learning vocab through news paper article snippets.

Copy (Extract) of the FSI Thai Basic Course
Learning Basic Thai - DLC Language Products, Bangkok, Thailand
While scouring the internet for vintage language courses, I came across an offer on eBayUK for a “Learning Basic Thai” course, from 1994, which apparently employs programmed learning for at least the phonology portion. A feature which I found rather surprising (for a less-frequently-studied language) was that the course manual is accompanied by 16 audio cassettes (which I would estimate to represent 12 hours total duration). I know nothing of the publisher, DLC Language Products, Bangkok, Thailand, but the images of the course manual and audio cassettes inspire confidence.

UPDATE: Subsequent to neumanc's comments, below, a search revealed that this course was an extract of the FSI Thai Basic course.

On the cover it says: "Diplomat's Language Course". As Volume 1 of the FSI Thai Basic Course, it has 20 lessons. So I think this must be a repackaging. Not worth the bother, since FSI Thai can be downloaded legally for free.

“There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact.” (Sherlock Holmes, The Boscombe Valley Mystery)

neumanc, taking into consideration your supposition, I downloaded the PDF of FSI Thai Basic Course, Student Text, Volume 1, and conducted a visual search of the contents, paying particular attention to the Substitution Drills. Despite my failing eyesight, I managed to locate the drill which appears on page 98 of the Learning Basic Thai course: the same text appears on page 128 of the FSI Basic Thai course. This leads me to conclude that the former was an extract of the latter. So then, congratulations on your assumption! Still, it took real detective work to provide the proof. ;)

I have modified the entry above so as to clarify the origins of the Learning Basic Thai course.

I've had some translations and recordings made of 5 "mini stories" that can be good for lower intermediate learners.

They can either be used as they are or cut up into parts making them great for sentence mining, etc.
