Seemingly not.

I stand corrected.

Are you standing though? Or should I say 'were' you standing? Okay okay spare me a little whatever, it's 5.51 am and I am completely ridiculously and utterly tired out of my brain here at work on night shift. I'm thankful it's quiet, but it's not helping my extreme tiredness.

As for this language transfer sensation, I've not ever heard of it until now (this late in the thread- despite reading all posts, my brain is lagging that much I've only just realised what people are talking about... no that's not true). Anyway, must check it out, and stay alive driving home.

Yeah, the name is confusing a bit, especially for people lacking sleep. That's why I believe most langauge books, courses, forums, schools etc. would be better off named anything else but generic "Language something". (Yeah, I know I am saying that on language-learners.org, sorry)

We're special enough for this 8-)
Yeah I first thought language transfer was a method rather than a site/course.

It actually is. When looking for Language Transfer, before my browser and google account knew where I return, I got a mix of links to papers and articles about some method or a complication linked to language learning. I didn't read them, I just know the term "Language Transfer" is being used in other contexts.

I tried out the first 23 tracks of Complete Greek, they are awesome.

I have long been a fan of this guy, I did his early Greek course, which is basically Michel Thomas with a few minor improvements. That in itself is no small thing! Everyone else who tried to continue what MT was doing (whether Hodder & Stoughton, Harold Goodman, Paul Noble, etc) missed the point completely!

Among the small improvements were Mihailis' own command of the languages he teaches (better than MT and with a much better accent), only having one student (I don't know why that proved to be an improvement, but it did) and smarter editing (unless I am mistaken, he sometimes left a correction in but removed the mistake that prompted it, thus keeping the student feedback element without the listener having to hear every single mistake made by the student on the audio).

To do all that and provide these courses free is already really good, but for a while now he has been claiming that he has improved the methodology considerably. Well, with the publication of the new Greek course, I've finally been able to see for myself and he wasn't bull****ing!

His new course is a whole other level.
Kudos to him. I teach English as a foreign language and wish I could teach like that.

Does anyone have any news about when complete German will be complete? German is on my hit list, so i'd definitely like to give the course a try and see what all the talk is about, but I'm hesitant to start an incomplete course.
