Cebuano Resources?

Postby basica » Wed May 05, 2021 11:39 am

So, I'm currently dating a Cebuano speaker and I'm looking to learn a bit of the language. I've found a basic memrise course but any books or other online resources you can suggest would be greatly appreciated :)

Check your local library to see if you can use any language learning tools for free. For example, I have access to Pronunciator through my public library which has a Cebuano course.

The University of Hawaii has also released some of their earlier publications to their repository in pdf format. Cebuano is one of the languages covered.

Here is a link to Beginning Cebuano:

Other resources can be found through the search function.

EDIT: There is also this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/9719368802/re ... BZVB2KTCMR

Which may still have the audio available.

Sorry for the late response guys. Appreciate the help. After looking at it a bit, I'm going to put Cebuano on the backburner for now and try Tagalog first. I know they're very different, but I'll get more bang out of my buck with Tagalog in the Philippines, and my partner and her family all speak Tagalog fluently. Lastly, there's also far more resources for Tagalog. I won't promise I'll post updates as that's been a bit of a crapshoot my last few attempts, but I'll try to get around to it soon :)
