Multiple Lang & Subtitle DVD Barcodes / Reference Numbers

There is a number over the barcode: BUA0166901 which when google searched with "dvd bua0166901" returns the correct DVD in a couple of online stores. Here are some I found recently:

• BUA0166901 - Avengers, Vol. 1: Heroes Assemble! (audio: EN, FR, IT, ES, PORTUGUESE) (subtitles: EN, FR, IT, ES, hindi)
• BUA0167001 - AVENGERS: EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES VOLUME 2 (audio: EN, FR, IT, ES, PORTUGUESE) (subtitles: EN, FR, IT, ES)
• BUA0204301 - Avengers, Vol. 6: Secret Invasion (audio: EN, FR, IT, ES, Russian, Dutch) (Subtitles: EN, Russian)
• D011474 - The Goonies (audio: FR, EN, IT) (Subtitles: EN, FR, IT, ES, DE, PORTUGUESE, Dutch, Arabic, Romanian, Bulgarian)

I also did a search on the barcode itself for Jaws, which didn't have one of these numbers over the barcode. This also worked.

• 5050582048049 - Jaws (Collectors Edition) (audio: FR, EN, IT, ES, DE) (Subtitles: EN, FR, IT, ES, DE, PORTUGUESE, Dutch, Arabic, Czech, Bulgarian, Danish, Finnish, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Polish, Swedish, Turkish)

This is a good way to find content if you want to generate anki decks based on subtitles and movies clips, RE EMK's thread on making bi-lingual anki decks..

Basically I scan the supermarkets for cheap DVD's for about £3.00 ($5.00) which have sub-titles and audio in my target languages. If you have any multi-lingual DVD's please load either the barcode number or the reference number in this thread and list the audio & subtitles. This will allow other forum members to locate DVD's they might wish to purchase.

You spoiled, spoiled man. I do the same, in a less hi-tech manner. Unfortunately in the US it's hard to find DVDs in anything other than Spanish and French and perhaps Japanese if one is into cartoons (pardon, anime). It's a bit better with BDs. Thankfully original Netflix releases available for streaming occasionally have German and Italian soundtracks.

Ah yes. Region one DVD's probably don"t have much selection.
