Does anyone have any experience of this company? Their branding is quite slick - which is usually a bit of a red flag - and I can't find any reviews anywhere save a couple on Reed, no mentions on blogs, nothing at all. I'd be open to giving them a whirl but if they're an obvious scam or waste of time courses I don't want to throw them £20.

Never heard of them but anyone that requires me to listen to a video to learn about them instead of having text available to read has already lost me. I can't even tell where they're based.

Their FAQ is very strange.

I mean:

Q. When can I access my course?

A. After you have paid for your Course; you will be contacted by someone from our team who will give you your specific login details to enrol in your selected course/courses. If purchased directly on our website you will have instant access.

Q. Where can I access my course?

A. You can access your course directly from the e-mail link we send to your inbox. Please save this e-mail as you will need to refer back to it when you want to access your course. It is an important e-mail!

Q. When does the course start and finish?

A. Our Courses are self-paced- you decide when you start and when you finish. It is up to you and your commitment to learning the language! Consistency is the key!

Q. When do I get my certificate?

A. You will receive your certificate upon completion of your course!

[...]

Q. What is the structure of the Courses?

A. The Courses are online tutorials in the form of video presentations that are streamed from your selected device. As long as you have your initial e-mail link then you can access your course on any device! It is that simple! Please contact us if you have any issues regarding this!

Doesn't sound professional at all.

I wouldn't take any risks until more information is available.

I watched the “about” video because I have nothing better to do. It’s fluff - it isn’t actually an about video ie a video that tells you about the company and or courses.

It tells you about Rachel who can speak Spanish with her colleagues after “only a few lessons.”

No demo, course outline looks very old fashioned. No description of approach other than “Video presentations”

Screenshots I looked at for the French course just show a navigation page and checklist - no real content. Are they clueless or secretive?

Prices discounted from €240 to €20?!!! That rings bells for me.

No street address I could find - no country even. No names I could see except for Max at support.

They are keeping their course content very secret - how could a company build such a slick website and have no idea about offering demos or samples?

I’m guessing it is something they bought off someone and repackaged as Secret World. That’s just conjecture of course and wouldn’t even matter if it is good - I could be wildly wrong but why can’t we see a sample of what they have?

This is something else that jumped out at me. I have a suspicion it might be some repackaged FSI courses or similar and someone is trying to pull a fast one.

Aaand their website is now gone! Almost certainly a scam, then.

Yes, all the link gave me was a "problem loading page" error.
