I've been on GR for a few years but did not use it much as I feared the time-suck it would generate but I do glance at reviews every so often.
I do like how people here use it, so I will likely be more active. Feel free to add me - my profile

Re: Goodreads
Another avid Goodreads user (and librarian) here. Although it's lacking as far as languages are concerned, I have been able to make myself at home there by adding non-English books or versions that were missing, creating shelves based on language, and I've also discovered some really nice lists for books in other languages from listopia. Here's my profile.

Re: Goodreads
I've been on Goodreads for quite a while, and I've added my share of books. I solve the language issue by having "read-in-X" shelves. Here's my profile.

The same goes for Japanese. One popular Japanese site is 読書メーター. But like you I don't want to keep track of my books on multiple sites (plus, that site in turn is so Japan-centred that I wouldn't be able to track my other reading there). The best option for now is GR, and manually adding any books that aren't on it yet.
There's also 豆瓣读书 for Chinese.

There is also babelio.fr for French, although it doesn't seem nearly as popular as goodreads. I may be wrong about that, though. There is also lovelybooks.de for German, but I'm not a member there, and so don't know anything about how popular it is.

The site is a bit English-centric; I have a few Italian and French contacts who are keen readers and I'd love to be able to see what they're reading, but Goodreads just doesn't seem popular amongst them. There's a similar site that's more popular with Italians that my flatmate showed me, but I can't remember what its name was, and I'm loath to keep track of the same things on more than one site. That said, there are a lot of reviews in different languages, and reading the ones for books I've read or am considering can be a nice bit of practice.
Babelio, a French site, mimics Goodreads, too. There my handle is Cornpone. Anyone know of a Spanish version? There are several vloggers who discuss books in Spanish or French, but I have never seen any mention of a Spanish Goodreads.
