Hm, no Tagalog resources. I started to dabble a little. So far just with google and youtube. If someone knows a good program, website or something, feel free to mention them.

Sketch for an intro:
"Filipino is the standardized register of Tagalog, an Austronesian language of the Malay-Polynesian branch. It is an official language of the Philippines, and the main language in central and south Luzon, the largest island of the Philippines. Some 40% of filipinos speak Tagalog natively and it is widely understood and studied across the Philippines. One of the most striking features of Tagalog is what is called "Austronesian alignment", which is incredibly rare and caused linguists to redefine theories of syntax upon its description. It is neither nominative-accusative or absolutive-ergative, but a third type where the verb is coded for agent, passive or adverbial (location, instrument) focus."
