The efforts to save the PodClub podcast files seem to have stalled. Without wishing to appear too cynical, I am not completely surprised by this development. That is, the lack of movement was rather predictable: The Little Red Hen

Although these files are beyond the Bailiwick of Éric Streit’s Yojik.eu website, I have requested that he consider hosting these files on his website, subject to submission by members holding individual sets or groups of them. Clearly, the realization of such a project would impose a burden on Éric and quite frankly, I think that we have collectively drawn from his well rather liberally without having expressed a great deal of gratitude. He is quite free to decline the request and, should he do so, this will be my final implication in this effort to save the files.

As I have noted twice before, I have the set of PodClub Deutsch files which I would submit to Éric should he accept this project. To date, I have shared this set of files with several other members. However, I am getting rather tired of doing so. If this project does not move forward, any new requests that I share a copy will be redirected to: The Little Red Hen

;) ;) ;)

I have not further looked into this, but Google has found the Spanish ones at LingQ:

I didn't get anywhere near as much as I wanted to, though that was more because of my own poor time management and the busyness of the holidays than because of any Little Red Hen scenario. ;)

I did manage to get episodes 47-100 of the Italian podcast Al Dente downloaded. I started with the oldest ones available on Podclub, so those are not the same episodes as can still be found on Soundcloud. I am currently uploading them (veeeery slowly) to Dropbox. Will post the link when they finally finish.
Taeryne wrote:Was anyone else able to grab copies of the podcasts/transcriptions? From what I can see podclub.ch is completely gone and ~30 eps. of six series are all that's left on Soundcloud.
I have Balades [85] and L'avis de Marie saved [154 mp3 files, 157 PDFs].

I would really love those French ones if you have them online somewhere!!

Perhaps this has already been discussed, in case it hasn't, it may be an option to upload the 'rescued' files to the Internet Archive's Audio Archive.

Their help file on how to do that is here: How to upload files to create a new item page

hi,

I'm willing to put the podcasts on my Yojik website.

Sorry to not being here a lot of theses last times but I moved in another town (job), and I work full free time in my flat (I destroyed everything ... and built something "better" (in my view). I do this alone (with my wife) and it's a lot of work (still to do).

But I can gather all the podcasts available and very soon, put them on the website.

Michael wrote me 2 days ago, and I was not able to retrieve the files.

He sent me the German files which I'm downloading right now.

So , if you have some of them, feel free to contact me, and I will take care of them.

Best regards,

Eric

ps: I tried the wayback (internet archive) , but no luck :(

There are two separate threads dealing with the PodClub podcast series. In the event that some members have been following the one and not the other, here are Eric Streit's most recent comments on the "PodClub shuts down their podcast series" thread:

As Eric Streit has accepted to host the PodClub podcast files on his Yojik website, with a view to saving some him some extra work in this project, I suggest that members having sets the files send them directly to him. Eric’s Yojik Email address is: eric@yojik.eu

I sent what I have.

I started uploading to Dropbox, so Balades is there. L'avis de Marie was too big so I put it on Google Drive:
Balades [85 PDFs, 85 MP3s]
L'avis de Marie [157 PDFs, 155 MP3s]

Per the LingQ mention I found #113, but I haven't been able to find #2 or #56 in MP3 form [still free reading].
