Never did the course, but saved this Frisian course to my bookmarks years ago. Might be worth a look.

You're not a C1 (or B1 or whatever) if you haven't tested.

Well I don't know what the best resources for learning Nepali are but I can give you a few that I have found:
Free:
Cornell University's Nepali: A Beginner's Primer Conversation and Grammar
This has complete audio and written materials at a beginner level.
Though the website has been taken down it can still be accessed via the internet archive at:
Cornell Nepali Online Course
A pdf of the primer can be found here:
Nepali Primer
JBLM Nepali Familiarization Course - I have not used this though I have looked through it somewhat and it looks like a good topical introduction to Nepali
Nepali Familiarization Course
Nepalgo: Online website created by a native Nepali speaker that is a good introduction to Nepali though has limited audio:
NepalGo
Paid:
Teach Yourself Nepali - free audio can be found in the online Teach Yourself Library
These are enough to get one started depending on how much one wanted to learn.

The Central Institute of Indian Languages https://www.ciil.org/default.aspx has an online Tamil course, as well as books and other resources for learning both Tamil and Nepali (and all the other major Indian languages minus Hindi, plus Sanskrit and Urdu.)
I have heard also that the Colloquial Tamil book is good, although I've not seen it myself.
