My childhood (chit-chat)

Postby Ольга » Fri May 12, 2017 3:24 pm

When I was a child, I attended a hobby group for children, who were interested in art. There were lots of strange things. First of all, for some reason, we painted clay eggs with paints and felt-tip pens each Easter. Besides, we graved pictures in linoleum. Besides, until this very day, I am confused with one participant's sex. He (or she?) attended the hobby group with me. I did not know who she\he was, a boy or a girl, and I was too afraid to ask. I was about 8 years old. He\she was very clever, but it is was absolutely impossible to recognize if it was the boy or the girl. He/she was tall, with a short haircut and knew lots of British songs, and was older than me. Probably, this child was about 13. I dream of knowing who the child was.

I was born in 1990.
By the way, I will aways be surprised why all children have to make something strange by hands.
I wish we had painted something like that >> Image

I think my ugly clay eggs could horrify anybody.
Besides, I tried to make a pig from an apple. My grandma threw away this apple. Probably, it was horrible as well.
Besides, when I was a kid, I painted a cell of Paramecium caudatum. It was such a disgusting picture that even security staff of my school was horrified when I showed them this filthy picture.

There weren't any ugly handmade things in my childhood. Or maybe I just forgot about it. The first thing that usually comes to mind when I think about my childhood is the двор (I don’t know what is the more suitable equivalent for this word in English - 'outdoors', 'yard' or something else). It was a happy place for me at the time.

Btw, since I learned German in school it is a part of my childhood too :) . And also I recalled that at the time there was a kid's TV-show called Детский час. The first part of every episode included a language lesson - English, German or French. I liked the show and watched all these lessons :)

The most embarrassing thing is that my parents still have all the horrible things I made in my childhood and they tend to show these things to people too  In school I also once made a candlestick out of metal. It's a real menace, could easily take someone's eye out

What I love about my childhood the most - it is my dacha! I wish I could live there for ages.
Blackberry, strawberry, raspberry, all sorts of berries in my garden! What flowers there were! What a charming pond! Oh, I wish we would never have been separated.
