Cavesa wrote:Guys and gals, my plan is to catch up during the next week or so. Basically, I'll start working on it right after adding a few more things to the 6wc bot. My Italian has been going quite well, so it's time to get back to German and this awesome book.

So, the most important question: How far are you? I am a bit scared to read through several pages of this thread :-D

Tomorrow we will start on chapter thirteen. Or at least, Brun and Expug will be starting chapter thirteen, not sure about anyone else. I'll be starting chapter nine. If you're ever unsure where we are, I'm trying to keep the first post updated :)

I'm still in, but am really behind in my reading (chapter 4!). I might try and blast through everything purely using the power of extensive reading, even if it means I lose out on a few details here and there. In any case, I will catch up.

Thanks Elenia for clarifying where we should be by now.

I read three chapters today. I had only been planning to read one, but suddenly I had whizzed through two more. Hopefully it goes like that for you!

Wow, well done! I am still two chapters behind, although I have read one more in English, which should make the German easier...

Next week we will be reading two chapters :)

I'm a little confused. I can't remember whether or not I read this week's chapter. My book doesn't have chapter numbers, so can anyone tell me the name of the chapter we're supposed to be on?

I believe we should be on the chapter before 'Capricorns Dorf' - 'Weiter nach süden', if I remember correctly. I don't have my copy to hand.

Counting the chapter list at the back of the book, "Capricorns Dorf" was the 13th chapter, and the one I have just read.

I don't mind if it turns out I've accidentally read ahead though!

No, you haven't. I've read Capricorns Dorf last week and next is "Der erfüllte Auftrag".
