This subforum is not very active, but we could do better together. Write in any language you want, and then translate.
How many restrictions are there in your contries? Can you go to the park?

Since I live in a rural area, I don't have to stay inside; can still go walk on the beach or bicycle around the area. Of course we can't be be close to people not in our households, but that's not very hard around here. Now I just need to start using my time better-- while I have a lot more free time, I haven't actually been studying languages much more frequently or that sort of thing.

We must stay at home, but we can shop for ''essentials'' or go for a walk once a day. I can't visit my friends (my family live far away anyway).

It's still allowed to do many things here as long as few people meet together, and I could easily go to the park near my house if I wanted to, but so many people are afraid of the disease that not that many can be found on the streets. I can still hear many cars going through the streets nearby right now though.

There are some restrictions, but it's allowed to go to parks, and almost all supermarkets are still open.

I have to ask, why did you write "alsubarmarkitat" instead of "assubarmarkitaat"? Do you pronounce that word with an L and a short vowel at the end?

I once studied it enthusiastically for two or three years, but as I haven't done anything with it in ten years I've now forgotten so much...

Anta muHiqq! as-SaHih huwa kama katabtaha anta. kuntu musta'jilan.

You are right! The correct transcription is yours. I was in a hurry.

I haven't studied arabic, but doesn't the assimilation of l in the definite article depend on the dialect?

Paululō, dīcam. Exemplī grātiā, aegyptiī articulum ad litterās kāf et jīm (eīs, sānē, "giim") assimilant, etsī lām in plūrimīs aliīs sermōnibus conservātur. Quamquam autem, nisī fallor, omnēs ad sonum sīn assimilant, Hashimī dē eō verbō rōgāvī, quia in mentem vēnit verba ab aliīs linguīs prompta saltem sermōnibus quārundam regiōnum fortasse hāc mūtātiōne nōn adhibērī.

A little bit, I'd say. For example, Egyptians assimilate the article to the letters kaaf and jiim (for them, well, actually "giim"), even though in most of the other dialects the lām is kept intact. However, even though as far as I know everybody assimilates it to the sound of sīn, I asked Hashimi about that word because it occurred to me that this change maybe doesn't apply to recently-borrowed words in at least some dialects.

Go Korean!

Because I'm in my house, Coronovirus hasn't gotten to me yet. So that's a good thing. :) I'm happy.

(L2 Jysk) A tror itt te a det wil hjælp. Den mest diskuteret emmn i mit land (Danmark) hår lång wåt corona, så det sku ett væer for swært å finn å nowe at skryw om'ett hier oss. For mæ æ æ problem te at æ helsens ett' skrywer samm ting to gång - heller ett' å to forskælli språw.

Men her er det åbenbart nødvendigt og så bøjer jeg mig for strengens logik .... and then I bow to the logic of the thread since it apparently is necessary here (OK, I have reversed the order of these two sentences but I hope you can accept this minor transgression).

Et hic translatio:

(L3 English + L7 Latin) I don't think it would help. The most discussed topic in my country (Denmark) has long been corona, so it shouldn't be too difficult to come up with something to write about it here too. For me the problem is quod non libenter rem eadem bis scribo - neque in duabus linguis scribens.

And so I managed to have some fun in spite of corona...

.. oh no, now I also have to translate that! ....
Kaj tial mi ankaŭ sukcesis iom amuziĝi el ĉi tiu fadeno.

Edit: clarifying colours added
