Languages: I can read and write French, but my spoken capabilities are limited. I'm looking to develop further, especially in a business sense, as I'm getting increasingly asked if I would be able to use French at work.

Christmas ideas for speaking French

Postby MrsStarez » Fri Nov 30, 2018 10:35 pm

I’m hoping you guys can help me...

Family are asking for ideas for Christmas presents, and I really don’t have many ideas. I was wondering if there’s a programme I could use in the car whilst driving to work? I regularly spend three hours or more in the car each day, and whilst I’ve been listening to French podcasts, it’s pretty much dead time. Something to help me work on my speech would be really useful. I’d be looking at a B1/B2 level.

Thanks in advance,

Mrs Starez

For your level and to practice speaking in the car, I'd suggest
-- Assimil : Using French, Advanced Level - it's right about your level

Otherwise I'd suggest getting an audio book in French and doing shadowing exercises in the car.
Audio book choices really depend on your own personal taste but I liked the complete "Les Misérables".
