anki question

Postby Ccaesar » Wed Oct 31, 2018 7:31 pm

Hello everyone
Here comes yet another question about this fantastic piece of software!
I would like to make a sort of cloze card, but which let's me type the missing word.
I have tried googling with no success, would any of you know how to create such a card?

In the Checking Your Answer section of the manual, it says:

Anki manual wrote:It is also possible to type in the answer for cloze deletion cards. To do this, add {{type:cloze:Text}} to both the front and back template, so the back looks something like this:

Code: Select all

{{cloze:Text}}
{{type:cloze:Text}}
{{Extra}}

Note that since the cloze type does not use FrontSide, this must be added to both sides on a cloze note type.

If there are multiple sections elided, you can separate the answers in the text box with a comma.

I have to follow this up with a question, because I followed those steps, but all I get is an empty text box (not the part of the card, I did not make "clozed", what did I do wrong?

If you Browse the deck this card is in you will see a button called "Cards..." click that and you'll be shown a dialogue box like below. Type in the code arthaey gave you into the "Front Template"

Code: Select all

{{cloze:Text}}
{{type:cloze:Text}}
{{Extra}}

ClozeCode.PNG

This will give you the box to type in your answer.
