The short answer is 'no'. Language certificates in the US from CEFR level evaluations are not particularly useful except in specific cases. As people have noted - CEFR isn't an exam program - but a variety of certification programs use the CEFR scale.
If you are migrating to country with language requirements or plan to go to a college abroad or want to demonstrate language proficiency to get into a school they may be necessary or useful.
Certification may also be a motivational tool. I found getting my German certifications as a way to focus my study.
But they won't get you a job or even help cover the class requirements in a college. If you want to teach, there are foreign teaching certificates that might be useful.
