By judge, I mean I would appreciate constructive feedback as opposed to saying that my French sucks which I am more than aware of.
I haven't spoken French for more than 10 seconds in over a month and I get nervous when I am being recording which are really poor excuses for not doing better. My French is rusty which is demonstrated by the silly mistakes I make in my recording. My pronunciation and intonation ranges from little awkward but alright to WTF.
My plan is post somewhere between 2-10 minutes worth of recordings of me speaking French each day and getting feedback and working on it. My speaking is my worst skill and I can only get better if I push myself outside of my comfort zone and practice speaking on a regular basis. I understand that these recordings (essentially monologues) are no substitute for an in-depth challenging conversations with a native speaker. But this is better than nothing. I am actively looking into finding a way to resume my previously daily 2-3 Italki lessons a week. But in the meantime this is what I am doing.
It's 2:28 seconds long.

Hi! I'm not a French native speaker, but I've been studying French for a few years now. So I won't be judging your grammar. Your accent is very good, I could understand everything you said, although your speech is not not fluent yet.
I really like it. Keep going and you'll become more confident.

I only listened to the beginning, but I will say that your awesome French accent is ruined because you keep saying "um". If you practice saying « euh » instead, you will sound 100x better.

Re: Judge My French
- sentences or chunks do not "flow" like in good French, what they call "chaine parlee"
- it's "le manque", not "la manque"
- in "le chomage" the "ge" must be voiced
- "travails" instead of "travaux"
- it's "maladie soudainE"
- "occasionel" not "occashionel"
- "trente-cinq heures" sounds like "trente-cinq airs"
- in "cela signifie" you pronounce the "gn" as "gn" but should be "n with tilde like in Spanish

Re: Judge My French
My usual mantra: Your R is often devoiced (it's closer to a hard german CH than a french R): voice it more (use your vocal cords)
Relations familières is not clear: is it relations amicales or relations familiales or something else ?
Otherwise, it's not difficult to understand. Good job.

I need to work on my pronunciation of the French 'r' and I've noticed that I occasionally add random 'r' in the words but don't have them. C'est un peu bizzare. I've finally managed to get my hands on Phonétique Progressive du Français CD and the textbook. I need to go back to the basics in terms of pronunciation and try to fix/unlearn bad habits.
