What is the noun that goes with роликовым направляющим?

Aviation terminology isn't my forte, but I'm pretty sure that "направляющие" is the noun here. There are plenty of functional nouns that have the morphological structure of adjectives in Russian, similar to the English "convertible" or "laxative". Apparently роликовые направляющие is either "roller guides" or "rolling element guideways" in English.

well that's originally what I was thinking but I still couldn't get the sentence to actually make proper grammatical sense yet :/. Surely some punctuation is needed between люков and створки ?

Во время is not "when it was the time to", it's simply the equivalent of "during"
(not to be mixed with вовремя 'on time', which wouldn't make sense in this sentence)

About the punctuation, English is more liberal with commas. And if you delve deep into the Russian comma rules, don't expect everyone to follow them That's very common in wikipedia articles, for example (is your sentence from there?).
(I'm honestly not 100% sure if the string of nouns and adjectives is okay like that )
