Issue with audio in Learning With Texts

Hey all, I had to reinstall my OS and when I set up LWT again I ran into a problem.

Despite the filetype being acceptable (MP3) and the media folder being recognized in the program when I define a recording for the text the media player at the top shows 0/0 minutes and won't play the file. I've tried everything I can think of to get it to work including emptying the database and redefining everything, trying to link it through dropbox, and even trying it on a different browser (from firefox to chromium).

I'm at a serious loss. Any help? I'm running Linux Mint 17.3

Have you tried a different browser? This is what their page says:

If MP3 audio playback doesn't work, install Adobe Flash, or consider switching to a different browser. MP3 playback on some Firefox editions (like the one for Mac OS X) does not seem to work, and playback via Adobe Flash does not seem to work either if the audio is on a different domain (due to security reasons within Flash).

You say you had to reinstall Linux Mint. Were you using Linux Mint 17.3 before you reinstalled?

Which media player do you use? Could you try a different one?

My only other advice would be to try a different version of Linux. Maybe Mint 17.2 or some version of Cinnamon.

BTW, I'm not saying any of this advice will work.

If you have not already tried LWT forum and the Linux Mint forums, give them a shot. Someone there may have a solution.

I apologise. Read it twice but missed that part both times. As MorkTheFiddle pointed out, you might get lucky in the LWT forum where the creator answers questions. Maybe it's a well known issue.

You can try to narrow down the problem by importing audio to the demo site (lwt/lwt) to see if the problem is with your browsers/computer/flash or where you installed LWT.

I think I remember having a problem when I put the file in the folder it would show up but would not play. I do not remember how I fixed it though but I think it was because I placed the file in the wrong place.

C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyPHP-DevServer-14.1VC9\data\localweb\lwt\media\

That is where I have to put my files to get them to show up, if they are already in a similar location then I do not know..

Hey all. Thanks for the replies.

I couldn't figure it out in the end. I'm really not sure what its problem is. Oh well. I can just play the recording separate I suppose. No big loss.
