Hi!
I've recently learned that I have ADHD, in retrospect it's quite obvious but I'm learning it at my 32 years of age
In any case, I'm trying to come up with an ADHD-friendly language learning process. I think my main problem is memory and consistency which suck if you're trying to learn a new language.
For other stuff, like learning the grammar and understanding certain particulars of languages I'm actually quite good on the other hand.
But basically I'm currently in B2 hell for both Italian and German and I need to incorporate new vocabulary and expressions. Basically: Anything that is fun or interesting will help.
I'm open to any suggestions and appreciate the help immensely.
Thanks!
Alex

Hans Fallada's autobiographical short stories Damals bei uns daheim & Heute bei uns zu Haus
I also quite like the band Faun

Re: ADHD and language learning
ADHD is also mentioned in a couple of other recent threads:
Do you take ADHD medication?
Headache when listening (LISTENING) to conversations in the language I am learning.

Re: ADHD and language learning
Thanks! I read the ADHD post, lots of different experiences.
Any recommendations for flashcard apps? Maybe an app in which I can start integrating new vocabulary?
If mobile, the better.
Thank you

Do you realise it's pretty offensive to say something blatantly offensive and then end with "No offence"...?

"it was a joke," he says, before getting even more offensive.

Yes, but the existence of that doesn't automatically excuse bad manners.
If nothing else, people don't know sometimes prone to say things that are offensive until they've done it, so the existence of a foe list doesn't prevent people being offended in the first place. Calling out people on what they've said instead of blocking them without saying anything is far more effective in according something for others.
