From the UK you can watch TV5Monde's catch-up service, revoir.tv5monde.com

tv5mondeplus.com is I think intended to be worldwide eventually.

arte.tv/fr have some series and documentaries

There also radio, radiofrance.fr, Europe1.fr etc.

Use a VPN service and then you'll be able to access all (free) French TV has to offer.

Free VPN services can be risky, while paid ones appear safer but still criticised by some for being rip-offs. I'm no computer expert so I won't attempt to explain the riskier free VPN services but I have paid money for a decent VPN and I'm very satisfied with the service.

This is a second of Peter's endorsement of a VPN. Mine works quite well at what I consider a reasonable cost of 84 $US per year.

French programs
TF1, TMC, TFX, NRJ12, FRANCE 2, 3, 4, 5, M6, 6Ter, W9, LCI, VIAVOSGES ...

can be received free in Europe if you are within a reasonable range of the footprint "Transalpine"

They have French subtitles and some have audiodescription in French
