Honto.jp and bookwalker.jp often have the first volume or two of a series free and occasionally have a 'sale' where they make a couple free to try and get people to read them and buy the rest of the series.

Off topic, I know, so please forgive me, but why doesn't every language have an Animelon? Animelon is splendid.

What about the DJT site? Just download them and read in Tachiyomi.
