Where's that reverse FSI list when you need it?

Not really a list, but...:
Is there a comparable language difficulty-ranking for non-English speakers?
Is there a language learning difficulty ranking alternative to FSI's?

I went from not being able to spell hrvatski or knowing the difference between Bosnia and Republica Srpska to 2+/2+ (~B2 equiv) in Reading and Listening and 2 (~B1) in speaking after 16 weeks of 7 hours of class M-F, 2-3 hours of homework/study Sunday evening thru Thursday evening. A couple guys in my class got 3/3 (~C1 equiv).

Only difference was: we all had at least a 2/2 in Russian, so had a basic understanding of grammar BCS and Russian had in common.

I wrote about it here.

BTW, DLI does this every day. Most kids going to DLI have no prior knowledge of the language they're assigned (show me a U.S. public school that teaches multiple years of Dari) and frankly only public-school language class (if they even have that). You can do a lot if you use the fire-hose method and threaten a really crappy job for failing the class.

I'd caution, though, over maintaining a 10-hour per day sked 7 days a week for months. You need a rest day. If not, the brain, it no work.

You're not a C1 (or B1 or whatever) if you haven't tested.

What level might he or she reach after 4 months?

oh, please think something twice before going on.
why?
because ...I am autodidactic and like you mention I also enjoy too much working also sometimes I could use this word for myself "workhaolic".

but no. as it said , please think it twice.
lets see the reasoning for that.

I experienced that even working too much long hours would (also) be wrong.
because by that way, I presumably gave slight harm to my spine and neck.
as I said in one of my previous post, really there is no more valuable thing/content than our health.

and generally exaggrating anything would more easily be considered as a problem.
so, take a deep breath regularly , have a break per 3-4 hours, please do not exaggrate even working, sit corrrectly.
normally feeling happiness (i.e. social activities , share of contents with other people and others) are also needed.

good works!
