I started watching Babylon Berlin. It looks promising. Have you watched this series?
At first my ambition was to watch it without subtitles, but I caved in, as it's just too hard to get everything and I want to enjoy it. I'd prefer German subtitles, but I'm watching it on HBO max and they don't provide German subtitles. They've got the series online on ARD mediathek but it's geoblocked. Maybe I should get a vpn.
If you know Russian as well you might enjoy the many Russian dialogues (at least in the first episodes). With subtitles I was able to pick out a few Russian words, thanks to having studied Polish.

Re: Babylon Berlin
It's one of my favourite series, I think it's very high quality. It's based on Volker Kutscher novels . I also recommend reading the books, they are pretty good. The series doesn't follow the book religiously, but both are worth the time.

Re: Babylon Berlin
I've seen the series on yle areena (currently not available). In Finland there was only the option to get local subtitles or no subtitles at all. (I am pretty sure in Germany there would be subtitles for Russian only.) During the first episodes I tried to turn on the subtitles only when Russian was spoken. However, that ended up being quite impractical, so I dicided to watch the whole series with Finnish subtitles. The amount of Russian was less during season 3 (and 2?) as far as I remember.

German TV usually have subtitles available even for German, probably mainly for hearing impaired. Also Netflix. I watched Dark on Netflix with German subtitles when necessary.

I watched the first season when it was shown on SVT. I've also read the first two books. I didn't watch the second season. Something came in the way.
