Bonjour!
I have two quick questions for any native French speakers out there.
1. If I'm writing the date by itself in the corner of my class whiteboard for the students to see, would you go with:
a) mercredi 24 février 2021
b) Mercredi 24 février 2021 (because it sort of acts as a title)
c) le mercredi 24 février 2021
d) Le mercredi 24 février 2021(again, a capital, because it's sort of like a title)
I don't want to include "Aujourd'hui c'est" in the date.
I was advised by someone that if the date is just written on it's own, it wouldn't be correct to include the article "le" before mercredi, unless it were appearing in an actual sentence. Is this correct?
Your thoughts?
2. When writing daily school subjects on the timetable on my whiteboard (for example, 9:30 - 10:30: French; 1030 - 11:30: Social Studies, etc.), is it more appropriate to write the subjects as Français, Maths, and Études sociales, as Le français, Les maths, Les études sociales, or does it make no difference?
Again, your thoughts?
Merci!

Bonjour !
1. I agree with the advice you got: capital and no "le" here.
2. No article.
