This one was posted today, unfortunately for me, there is only one word in English, when he was interrupted by the phone answering machine.

He is speaking Japanese, the video is called "Why can't Japanese people speak English?" I can't watch the whole video, but he appears to be reacting to someone else's video.

I understand some parts, but not everything.
It would be nice to have transcripts of these Japanese-videos for study purposes. I believe he speaks Japanese very well, and might be using a more limited range of vocabulary compared to natives, so the videos would be valuable for learners.

He does speak it very well, and the Podcast parsing thing going on in the below linked thread indicates that his vocabulary range is more limited than materials by natives for natives.

Clicking around to a few random points (not really interested in watching all 10 minutes of this), he is kind of encouraging Japanese learners (have more confidence, you have passive knowledge and now you have to activate it) kind of stuff.

If there are some specific parts of the video you can't make out, I can transcribe them for you.

Re: What Oriental langague is Steve K, speaking here?
Thank you for your answers. The youtube video did not have the language in English: it is Japanese.
Something caught my eye; Steve had a different body language when speaking in Japanese than when he speaks English on YouTube.
It looks as if the body language adapts to the spoken language, really interesting.
Did you guys notice it too?

I don't think it's the case that the body adapts to the language...
I think people will learn body language in 2 ways... thru conscious learning, and subconsciously thru contact with others, films, etc. (Same as learning any other kind of language, in other words)
It's not uncommon for people to do a more conscious approach to body language in the Japanese learner community. This is because it's very easy to misinterpret something when you are learning a language from a high context culture, so body language is incredibly helpful. In addition, practicing correct "Japanese" body language will help you build rapport with whoever you speak to/make Japanese friends.
It's possible that Steve has not done any conscious study of body language however, humans instinctively from infancy will mirror one another. As adults, some people do it more than others, and who a person mirrors may reflect power dynamics. In any case, it's possible that thru mirroring, Steve has subconsciously learned Japanese body language, and now uses it even when there is no one for him to mirror.
But, there are plenty of people who fail to learn Japanese body language while attaining a decent level in the spoken language, so it's clear to me that there is no mind/body link between the spoken language and the body language.
