Next summer I go to Beijin, so I thought I might as well learn some Mandarin. I noticed that I best learn a language through short clever or funny sayings. That's how I learned some German and Spanish.
Normal language textbooks make me fall asleep in no time and grammar descriptions make my head spin. Is there an Internet collection of such sayings in Mandarin and English and recorded in Chinese by a nice voice so that I can pronounce everything in the Chinese way?

I don't think this is exactly what you've asked for. But I have done a review of a travel phrasebook website which gives you audio with the phrases. You can check out the review here http://how-to-learn-any-language.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1002 which has the link in it.
