also, I cannot help wondering does it have something to do with my thinking mode that is shaped by my mother tongue referring to the fact that i try to use less words to convey more?
Is it that Chinese thinking tends to be vague and macro since it conveys a lot in a couple of characters/words while English thinking needs specification and detail?
Or is it just my personal mode?

I don't know if it makes sense to you. what is your perception as a polyglot?


Yes, small elements of our mother tongue creep into how we think with and about language. It's a whole field of research called cognitive linguistics...
