I've never really studied Malay beyond a few chapters of Teach Yourself, but Malay has my vote here too. Indonesian and Vietnamese both have more and more content online with accurate soft subs, if not (as you already found) CI channels already. They also have excellent textbooks and entries in the Tuttle "stories for language learners" series. You may not find as big of an audience of Malay learners as Indonesian learners, but I imagine whoever does come across your videos will deeply appreciate the content in a register without as much English influence.

Can I ask why Burmese, Khmer, and Lao didn't make your list? Populations too small, perhaps?

I think the ones you gave me for LC conversations were Lao, Indonesian, Hokkien, Hausa, Yoruba and Tamil (some may have been excluded because they were already on other lists). Of those, Lao is the only one that I eliminated due to low population. I'll add Burmese. The list is long - I just narrowed it down to the three I mentioned to be the prototype for a language I don't speak.
