to" before "have" is dropped
Please listen to a video clip. The mother in the clip is saying in the way that "to" before "have" is dropped. At least, I hear in such a way. is it true? The subtititles are "I am very lucky to have". Here is the link https://youtu.be/1vVzJ3a87pY?t=34 . Thank you very much.

I can hear it perfectly. Are you saying that you hear it as "I am very lucky have"?

Re: to" before "have" is dropped
No, it's not dropped, it's there: /tə/. Prepositions are normally reduced (like many other auxiliary words), so you have to listen more attentively, if you can't hear it (try 0.5 or 0.25 speed). Since the preposition is reduced it's almost as if she's saying "t'have". But it's clearly there, you should be able to hear it easily, once you figure out where it actually is in the sound stream.

I hear the "to have".
I'm not sure that "I'm" isn't "um" though.

OP, are you specifically aiming for a 'posh' accent? I notice you report yourself as learning 'British language'. You know that could also be, among other things, Welsh?

Pedantry is properly the over-rating of any kind of knowledge we pretend to.

I need just to understand the speaker whatever accent he/she speaks. Thank you.
