I like to check out all my unread posts, but there are some topics that just don't interest me. It would be nice if I could "mute" or "ignore" the topic somehow, so that I never see notifications about it and it does not mark its board as containing unread posts.
I did a quick Google search for an existing phpBB extension, but all I found were 2 abandoned old-style mods and a Greasemonkey script. So this request will probably not be happening... but I wanted to "document" it anyway, in case someone else searches the forum hoping for such a feature. :/

Re: Request: mute threads
In the same line, it would also help to be able to select the threads you want to mark as read already at the forum's page. I usually go through the threads I want to read first, and then mark the others read, but doing it reversely would be much more practical.
