Post subject

Seems like the subject/title of a post can be completely arbitrary, with no connection to the thread title. I find that confusing for the "last post" feature and for the RSS feed. Most of the time it's just "Re: <thread title>", but some people change it up.
Do those two have to be connected? I see why one would want to have different headings for different posts in a thread, but any link to that post will ultimately link to the thread, so why not name the link (and the RSS heading) according to the thread title?

For RSS, <forum name> • <thread title> • <post title> would probably be even better.

Not super important, but I find that weird ;)

While we're at it...I edited the first post of my log and thus the log's title, but every reply still takes on the former subject. I can edit it manually next time I post there, but still...
