Feature request: add log link to user dropdown
Currently, the user dropdown in the upper right corner has links to our Control Panel, Profile, and to log out. It would be cool if the link to my own log were there too.

Or in the "Quick links" dropdown in the upper left corner. That would be fine too.

That would be nice. It would require writing a custom plugin, but it might be pretty easy as plugins go.
In the meantime, try Quick links > Your posts, which should usually find your log fairly well.

I'm a programmer; how can I contribute to this forum? Maybe it's github time..?

We're running phpBB 3.1, and we're willing to consider any extension which hooks in cleanly without modifying existing code.
Unfortunately, we don't yet have a GitHub repo you can fork. Right now, the forum code is just a giant directory provided by the webhost, with no easy way to swap in a clean source tree that we provide. rdearman's working on a solution for that on the webhost end.
Until we have the site officially under version control, your best bet is to go see the extensions page and look at the tutorials. It's PHP, but with actual APIs and stuff. You can just test the extension against a local copy of phpBB 3.1 and publish it on GitHub or wherever for us to download, preferably using a non-copyleft free software license. The language log URL is stored in a "Custom profile field" called "language_log" of type "URL", and not all users have actually entered a value.
Anyway, I hope this helps! We're definitely interested in small, unobstrusive extensions that make things better. Big huge extensions should probably be discussed first.

Haha, thanks for the poke.
I spent my evening programming various things (including a mockup of multi-lingual posts!) so I only listened to 10 minutes' of podcasts today. But tomorrow is another day!
